Retail | Strip Mall
In this shopping center, we worked on the future facade change to revitalize the community that is going to grow in this area due to new metro access. We gave the client three options for this project, where I contributed with the existing plans and design as well as a different type of design that I had done. Although my design was not presented I have added part of the design I had done at the end.

Design Cell (Kathmandu, Nepal)
The proposed entry I designed that used curves to define the entry. Yet the limitations of the construction quality in Nepal made this option not a good solution.
I designed the outlook of the design from the given plan. Also made some changes to the landscape arrangement for a greener view rather than a view of a parking lot.
The south view includes a shaded open space just above the community space. The partly shaded area was designed in order to incorporate people coming from the common rooms downstairs. It had to be shaded due to the intense heat experienced during summer times.

In this project, I was given the layout plan. I used SketchUp to design the overall look of the building. I had to use the girl's hostel as a reference to design it. I later added horizontal louvers for sun shading trying to reduce heat gain during morning and evening times. I fully covered the south side verandah for a more pleasant outdoor space. Also, replicated the pergola on the entry in a simple manner. I requested that the green space is placed in the parking lot and the walkway so that people walking would see the plants rather than the parking lot.

The entire site of UCMS was done by me excluding the dental and some existing buildings which were further added upon. This took me about 1 week to finish.
The dental block is the one on the back. It came to look similar when I tried to cover the existing double walls on the facade.
The west side view with the front gate. The building facade was designed by me, but the gates were pre- designed by another architect.

The project was brought together into one big file for massing and overall rendered imagery.
I redesigned the facade of the old hospital located right at the center of the site and also worked on its planning and design.

The north west view shows the addition that I worked on. It is the on on the back.
The facade I worked on has subtle similarities to the existing building.
The site plan required a side entry which was added by me as well.
